The multifaceted DRAMA MINISTRY provides creative expression of Christ through stage plays, dramatic monologues, and the like. Participants are provided opportunities to present self-authored dramatic pieces and receive personal development in their acting skills via various mini-workshops. Supporting roles include actors/actresses, stage assistants, lighting assistants, audio assistants, writers, etc. Productions are usually presented during holiday seasons and special occasions.
Members of our HOSPITALITY ministry are provided the pleasure of serving our Pastor, as well as all ministry speakers, beverages of their chosing before and after ministering the Word of God. The Hospitality committee also provides general assistance to the congregation during worship services (i.e. distributing offeratory envelopes, fans, worship bulletins, and special handouts; escorting members into/out of the sanctuary). Benevolent acts for the hospitalized - visits, delivering cards, plants - are also a part of this wonderful ministry. Our Hospitality Committee also assists during Home-Going Services by consoling family members, carrying plants and paraphernalia, and serving the family repast.
Our MEDIA MINISTRY includes both our Audio Ministry and our Video Ministry. These subministries are responsible for the production of our weekly television and radio broadcasts - The Life-Changing Word Broadcast, all ministry media sales (cassette tapes, CDs, DVDs), and all audio and video technical support during worship services. The Media Ministry is an area anyone can be involved in regardless of your experience since hands-on training is available.
The MUSIC AND ARTS MINISTRY bears the responsibility of ushering in the manifest Presence of God in order to establish an atmosphere conducive for the Word of God and the move of God. As a vital part of every worship service, participants are expected to have a heart to passionately minister in spirit and truth. Expanded to include performing arts, this ministry consists of all adult choirs and Praise & Worship teams, a liturgical dance ministry, and a poetry/spoken word ministry.
Members of our NURSES UNIT provide basic medical attention, as needed, to parishioners during worship services. Their duties also include personally serving beverages to our Pastor during outside speaking engagements as well as offering support and assistance to bereaved families during Home-Going services. This ministry also strives to keep the members of our church and community informed about important health topics and issues through health presentations, distributing brochures, and conducting health fairs.
The primary responsibility of the TRANSIT MINISTRY is to provide safe and dependable transportation to and from Sunday morning worship services. This ministry is also utilized for travel to outside engagements and events. Members of the Transit Ministry maintain the cleanliness of all ministry motor vehicles to ensure a comfortable riding experience.
Members of our USHER BOARD help to maintain an atmosphere of order during worship services. Their responsibilities include monitoring entrance into the sanctuary, escorting parishioners to their seats, and providing traffic control. They also assist the assembly by distributing service bulletins, offertory envelopes, special handouts, and more, as needed. Younger members of this ministry (ages 12 to 21) make up our Junior Usher Board and serve regularly each month.
Members of our newest ministry, the GREETERS, provide a kind gesture and friendly smile to everyone that enters the building.
The purpose of the WELCOME COMMITTEE is to let our visitors know that we are glad to have them join us during our worship service. Every visitor is given a Welcome Packet, ministry gift, and warm smile as a token of our gratitude.
